Student success: Angela Elliott Yoga Aromatics

Meet Angela Elliott, creator of Angela Elliott Yoga Aromatics

Angela has completed our Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation. She is combining her two great loves – yoga and aromatherapy – to create a range of yoga-inspired skincare products and aromatherapy yoga mat sprays.

We catch up with her and see how studying with us is helping her achieve her dream.

What difficulties or struggles did you have before you started the Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation?

I wasn’t confident with what ingredients to use and the percentage at which to use them. I was struggling to access information on how to legally sell my products.

Why did you decide to take the Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation?

I was so fed up trying to piece together information from different websites or social media platforms! This course answered all my questions. And if I did want more information I could ask the dedicated Formulation Tutor and other students in the private student-only Facebook group.

How has the course you have taken helped you to develop your own range of products? What can you do now that you couldn’t before?

I have gained the knowledge I need to create my brand of products. Rather than being spoon-fed information, it encouraged me to think about ingredients and get to know them in a logical way.

The course helped me by simplifying ingredients; when to use them and why to use them. I am confident now with which ingredients to use and how to formulate my products.

I also understand what to do to legally sell in the EU.

What was most useful and enjoyable about the course?

At the moment I am loving the information on creating a benchmark and then working out how to make my product just as good or even better.

I feel the course covered a lot of information but it was in the right amount and broken up into perfect sections so it was easy to digest.

I love the videos that accompany the text. I am better at listening to people talking than reading a lot of text so for me, the videos really helped me to take in the information.
